Iron Mountain appoints Christoph Vandamme as
Commercial Director Belgium
Diegem, 16 November 2009 - Iron Mountain, the global leader in information protection and storage services, has appointed Christoph Vandamme as Commercial Director for Belgium. As a member of the local management team, Vandamme is responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies, coaching and supervising the local sales teams.
Before this function, Vandamme worked about ten years for Hewlett-Packard (HP) in various sales and sales management positions, including Volume Sales Manager Belux and Global Sales Manager Benelux. Before HP, Vandamme worked for General Electric Capital, the financial division of General Electric in which he fulfilled several sales positions.
In his new position as Commercial Director, Christoph Vandamme's goal is to continue the trend in moving from physical towards digital storage. “We see that more and more clients initiate this kind of transition for their documents. This requires more thorough advice and support,” said Vandamme. “Iron Mountain offers clients that technical and professional support, in order to meet their compliancy demands. Within this evolution, it's important that we also get in touch with the ICT department, next to the Facility Managers. Good consultancy is key as Iron Mountain wants to provide a solution in which clients can deal with their information in an efficient and profitable way.”
“Despite its worldwide global leading position, Iron Mountain has a considerable growing potential,” said Christoph Vandamme. “Belgian companies realize they can save money by outsourcing their archiving and understand the priority of a safe and efficient records and documents management solution. For me it is a real challenge to work in this growing market and I am looking forward to collaborate with colleagues, clients and prospects.”
